If you want a budget-friendly surround sound system with wireless flexibility, the iLive 45” HD Sound Bar is a great pick for small rooms and casual home theaters.
The setup is incredibly easy. Bluetooth pairing even has spoken feedback once it pairs (as well as when you switch audio connections). This is a wonderful, budget-friendly sound bar for your “secondary” TV. While it doesn’t offer true 5.1 surround sound (it is 4.1), for most people, this is probably ok. The many connection options make it quite utilitarian. And, the fact that you can detach the satellite speakers to place around your room is quite amazing. Do be sure to charge the satellite speakers (which you can do by simply connecting them to the main soundbar or plugging them into a USB-C power supply). I did notice a high-pitched noise occasionally, coming from one of the satellite speakers, but I believe it was due to interference from something else. Overall, this is great for a dorm or child’s room and it definitely uplevels the music and TV listening experience.
