Looks like Netvibes has updated their code with a new release “Cinnamon.” This is the development track towards their 2.0 release. Some of the new feature/updates include:
- New Setting panel
- New Design and color themes
- New Netvibes digital life assistant
- Content localization
- Sidebar reorganization
- Better performance
- Browser compatability
You can read all about it here.
Personally, I’m still having issues logging into my Writely account (probably has to do with Google’s acquisition of them and merging of accounts). I do like the reorganization of the sidebar as well as the themes. I will continue to dig through…

Check out the updated Writely: http://docs.google.com (thanks to http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/google_docs_spreadsheets.php).
I am having some problems getting to the spreadsheets, but the Writely part seems to be working fine. It even lets you import your Writely documents to your Google account.

Google Docs is great. It’s the first step towards online office. There are other companies going after this space (e.g., ZoHo – http://www.zoho.com) and I’m sure that Microsoft will be pushing something tied to their LIVE offering (http://officelive.microsoft.com).
In terms of finding your “old” spreadsheets, I found mine by clicking on “Show ALL” at the bottom of your active list. Look for google to be going after the missing pieces soon (e.g., presentation) since they already have Mail (gmail), Calendar (google Calendar), etc. I wouldn’t be suprised if they get into the live collaboration thing even more than how they currently do it.
Just my 2 cents!
