World Premiere: “Cast of Dads” Podcast – Episode #1

cod-itunes I have always wanted to do a podcast but never had the time, energy nor team to do so. Obviously, there is plenty of content to talk about though. Well, after several months participating in the Sony DigiDads project where 4 other daddy bloggers and I spent time with some Sony loaner gear, writing about our experiences with the Sony gear and then having regular conference calls with Sony, all of us dads realized something: we had really developed a bond. To that end, we decided it would be really great to start a podcast (e.g., a Dad-cast) and thus “Cast of Dads” was born. This is our latest collective “child” and we are hoping that it will not only entertain but also provide insight and tips/tricks to those parents and other interested listeners out there.

Our baby is still wrapped in a hospital blanket, so to speak, but obviously will get more dressing as we go. The site (which too, is in a state of “birth”) is at: http://www.castofdads.com and will be updated as we grow and have time to devote a little more TLC to it.

Our first podcast is live though, recorded on 12/6/09.

About Episode #1

  • Introductions of the Dads
  • Artificial vs. Real Christmas Trees
  • Holiday decorating
  • Mixed religious household traditions
  • Shopping for Holiday presents
  • What our kids are asking for this year
  • The coolness of Lego

We will be producing this on a regular basis and until iTunes is set up you can subscribe to our feed and stay tuned for lots more fun.

  1. Hey Michael:
Great site and podcast – I've actually been following you on Twitter for a while as our “day jobs” intersect – I also met you at Structure2010 a couple weeks ago.

I would love to be a part of your “Cast of Dads” podcast team if I can help let me know.
