It’s seems like we at Cast of Dads are always talking about social media and parenting and how at times they are mutually exclusive. Part of my day job is to actually be doing a lot of marketing on various social sites. And, in fact, all of us dads on the Cast of Dads are pretty active within social networking. But all of us are also very different when it comes to our kids and social media. I for one, am pretty strict about not letting my kids even near it, but they aren’t even of age yet so they shouldn’t even be on it. So where do you draw the line? Can tracking your kids via social media or other means be a good thing to do as a parent or an invasion of your child’s privacy? Where do you set the boundaries with being overly protective versus just keeping tabs?
In this 13th Episode of Cast of Dads, we go once again a bit deeper into tracking our kids via social media or other types of technology as well as discussing where the limits are. Also, 3/5ths of the Cast of Dads were out in Texas for South-by-Southwest (SxSW). We actually recorded our first video podcast (which is still in post-production work) during SxSW so be sure to check that episode out when it goes live!
