Fixing a Honda Odyssey Automatic Sliding Door

I’m going a bit away from my usual tech talk on this one but still, it points to how truly information packed, the Internet is. We had a deep freeze last night, rain and then below freezing temperatures. Most of the Country is experiencing that now…but here in California, it is a bit rare to go below freezing (especially in my area). Anyway, as my wife was trying to get the kids off to school, she discovered that our 2001 Honda Odyssey (the “mommy mobile”) power sliding doors decided not to work anymore. The “door” light was lit, indicating an error of some sort.

Armed once again with the power of Google (as well as “unrelatedly” telling my kids that on the Internet, “you can find out anything about anything”), I searched for “2001 honda odyssey doors won’t open” and the first hit had the answer. Here is what fixed it, and I will quote (with a little editing):

1.) Disable the power door switch on the left dashboard.
2.) Remove fuse #13 for 30 seconds or more from the passenger side fusebox. This will reset the door and the clock. Fuse box is located under the front passenger leg area.
3.) Manually open and close both sliding doors.
4.) Restore the power door fuses located under the front passenger leg area.
5.) Enable the power door switch on the left dashboard.
6.) Try opening the sliding doors.

I must admit that I did skip step #3 (which I think is just there for you to do something while you wait the 30 seconds. Anyway it works flawlessly! I probably saved myself a couple hundred $$$ at the dealer for a “diagnostics.” But more importantly, I saved my wife a lot of inconvenience and got the school drop-off routine back to norm.

For those interested, the thread where I found the fix is here.

If this tip saved you some money, I would really appreciate a minor donation to offset some of my hosting expenses. Thanks! [paypal-donation reference=”Odyssey Door Fix”]

  1. I took my 2001 Odessey to two mechanics neither of which could fix my automatic door. One was going to remove the door and drop the ceiling curtain to check wiring! I fixed my door with this tip!!!!!!!!! Thanks!!!

  9. You are a genius! From everyone else's comments, it sounds like this has something to do with the cold. It has been below freezing here in Portland, OR for a week and a half now. Last night one of the sliding doors all of a sudden quit working. Your tip worked PERFECTLY! Thank you so much. Who knows how much time and headache this would have caused me?

  11. Worked Thanks.
Step 5B (mentioned in owner's manual) Press and hold the door close button to trigger the locking mechanism and reset the motor position.
You can probably skip this step if you skipped step 5.

  21. Mike, I was a bit uncertain about trying this (feeling that I might have fallen prey to being duped), so I did it late at night when everyone was asleep! I cannot tell you how thankful I was when I tried the driver's side door which has been in the "do not use" state for well over a month and it worked! I like to follow all instructions, so I added the step of opening both doors in case I was the owner of the ONE HONDA that needed that step. I cannot imagine what the dealer would have charged me; and now the wife thinks I brilliant (ok, at least not STUPID)..

    THANKS SO MUCH

  25. Mike I tried on my 2008 odyssey touring but did not work…still get "check left side sliding door". I took the fuse out & checked it. It looked ok. well at least by flashlight. I even tried to swap the next 20 amp fuse out & put it in to slot #13 but it still didn't work. I guess to the dealer….thanks anyway….

  27. Les,I have an older Odyssey. I'm wondering if the fuse arrangements are different in the newer ones. You might want to check your manual to see the fuse locations. I'm sure that they changed some things around.Try that before you go to the dealer…dealers cost a lot!-HTD

  31. Hmm, that is a tough one. So that is what the owners manual fuse schematic said? That there were two fuses? If so, and I have no guarantee that this will work, you could try taking them both out at the same time. I believe the point is to completely reset that circuit. Try that out. Worst case, you could try disconnecting the battery, but that will mean that you will need to reset your radio security code (among other things) and there is no guarantee that will work.Let me know what you end up trying.-HTD

  35. Thanks for the info. In defense of our dealer they gave us this information over the phone when it happened a few years ago but this time I needed the fix on a Saturday night and it was too late to call them.
We have a 2000 Odyssey. My wife remembered the fix involved pulling a fuse but apparently she didn't leave it out long enough or the fix involves two fuses. They are numbered differently in a 2000. I pulled # 5 and # 13. One is 7.5 amp (clock and backup lights) the other is 20 amp (door closer). I pulled both, waited 30 sec and reinstalled. Works great.

  41. I found this out independantly on my own – I was just checking the fuses by removing them (I have a factory shop manual) I remember removing the clock fuse and heard a click. After I was done the inoperable door worked fine. So it saved me a great deal of money at the 'stealer' who would have replaced parts without fixing the problem.

  43. Awesome fix. Just fixed mine from Illinois after kids playing stopped the door. Thank you for saving me money.

  44. Ah yes, this is a built in safety feature of the Odyssey to prevent the door from opening when you are fueling the van. Makes a lot of sense actually.

  45. Amazing!!! I have a 2000 Odessy. I sware I spent a couple of hundred dollars on that repair a couple of years ago. I just reset both doors and they work great. You are amazing and so is the internet. I love being alive right now. Especially with my doors working and my kids able to get in and out the way they were meant to in this vehicle.

  46. Glad that it worked! Yes, I was amazed when I found that forum post (I
must admit, I can't take any credit for this “fix). I just wanted to
be sure that people know how to do it and share this information (and
save some $$$ in the process).

  47. NICE fix! I have a 2002 Odyssey and only one door would not open/close via the power button. I found this thread and now all is well!:) One funny issue though … I removed the power door fuse (a 20 amp fuse) only to discover the one good door still worked. After removing all the fuses on the top row, the one good door no longer worked which told me I hit the right fuse. I slowly connect each fuse one at a time and eventually discovered the power doors are connected to a 7.5 amp fuse (I do not recall for what though – clock?). Nonetheless, both doors are now working – THANKS!:)

  48. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS INFORMATION! I READ THIS YESTERDAY AFTERNOON, WENT HOME AND TRIED IT AND AFTER ALMOST 2 YEARS OF MY PASSENGER DOOR NOT WORKING…IT DOES NOW!!

  49. Damn I love the internet. This quick fix worked for me too. My passenger door on my 2000 Odyssey hasn't worked for 2 months. The dash light showed it was open and I had to turn the automatic door power on the dash 'off' while driving otherwise it would constantly alarm. Thanks so much!!!!

  50. I have an 2005 Odyssey and the passenger slider would close, latch and 3 seconds later unlatch and slightly open. I read these and though they were for a 2000 and 2001, I tried removing my fuse (#3) in the under the hood compartment, left it out for a while and replaced it, and it worked.
This seemed to happen after a passenger who was unfamiliar with the door tried to pull it open instead of just pulling the handle.

  51. Our mechanic quoted my husband $900.00 to fix this problem on our 2002 Odyssey. We didn't think this tip would work since our doors worked, but the problem was that they just would get to almost closed and then open back up again- a problem which has been getting progressively worse. We just got in from going through these simple steps and guess what? Our doors work perfectly now! Yay!

  52. THANK YOU so very much for saving us the headache, time and money associated with taking the van to the dealer….just Googled this problem and there was your remedy. It worked, needless to say. Thanks for taking the time to share this with everyone—you are a good Samaritan!

  53. Dear my friend your defiantly the best you know your staff man .I was out my 1 sliding door for wily thank you i did what you wrote on it you finally save lots my money i tell you.I really thank you!!!!!!!!!!

  54. Hi, i think you forget about this situation that some many car's engine, glasses and etc are Jame in freeze but you are so luck that you select it. i was saw this it's comfortable.

  55. Wow, this was a gem to find!! This morning after struggling with opening the door manually and making a few calls to the Honda Service department I decided to give this a whirl and I too skipped step #3 it as a bunch of other people have mentioned, it works great!!!

Thanks for sharing this with the rest of us!

  57. Just did it. and it worked!!! Great tip and thanks so much…love to save the repair bill money for Christmas presents!!!

  58. I have a 2007 Odyssey and was having trouble finding the right fuse. Disconnected the battery instead and it worked. Make sure you have the radio code.

  59. This stuff actually works. Thanks for the step by step instructions. Very appreciative of the tip. It saved us a few bucks.

  60. I just had the same experience and success. Thank you so much for the tip! My door stop working after trying to open it after a deep freeze and icing over. I took it to the local Honda dealer and the service department charged me $42 to tell me I needed a new sliding door motor. The cost would have been over $800!

  61. Thanks Tim for the comment. It's amazing how much Honda would charge for something that is pretty easy to fix on your own. I have decided to add a “Donate” button to this post for those people who saved money through this solution. It's obviously not a requirement but does help me handle some of my costs.

  62. My 2001 Odyssey with 145,000 miles on it had the door buzzing problem. If I hit close on the driver side door to the left of the steering wheel, it stopped temporarily. Changing the fuse worked. Changing the fuse to the wing windows that would sometimes not close also worked.

  63. Thanks for the feedback. It's amazing that something as inexpensive as a fuse can fix these types of problems.

  64. Had my doubts about something you read on the internet but this work and saved me $500 plus for my 2000 honda Odyssey

  65. Glad that it worked! (Don't forget that little “donate” button – shameless plug). But actually, a lot of fixits you find on the net actually do work!

  66. Worked like a charm! My 2001 Honda Odyssey's sliding door hasn't worked all winter..since the first ice storm. Thank You so much!!!!

  67. I cannot freaking believe this worked. 5 months no power passenger door. 2 seconds on the internet and fixed. little confusing on fuse location. label is confusing. took out wrong fuses initially. take out top clock fuse first. 4th in from feet or seat-same on bottom. 12:17pm. couldn't wait until tomorrow. I am so excited.

  68. Did anybody know how to attach the cable that pull and push the automatic sliding door honda odyssey 2002 ???? the one that come out from the sliding motor unit…….. please help ….I try to attach it bye myself and it couldn’t be attach because the cable is design exactly fit……Thank’s

  69. i have 2007 honda odyssey touring i just got acident on slingding door crash and i try to buy new door but dealer very specie ,now i try to buy use 2008 honda odyssey lx ,do you think they can fix the same or not thanks

  70. I went to mechanic and he spent 30 minutes. Told me he had some other work and i would have to leave my car for a day to get doors checked and fixed. Gues what just used the directions as above for 2001 oddyssey and it was fixed in 5 minutes,
    Saved me couple of hundreddollars.
    Thanks

  71. The innovation and experience of A-Door continues to offer design options and product performance not previously available to the designing and specifying professionals. We offer you all kind of rolling door, industrial door and shutter systems, that we’ve designed for use in bars, reception counters, display areas, serveries, shopfronts, homes, etc.

  72. An update to the thread, this fix works fine. I took the extra precaution of pulling the fuses for both doors, 1 & 5 in my 01, and 13 (the clock/backup). Left them out for a minute or so, plugged them back and all was well again. One note though, both doors were unresponsive to the remote at first. I opened and closed them using the dash toggles and both worked, Then, after a few minutes the remote worked as well. Guess things are, in effect, booting back up.

  73. WOW! All I can say is WOW!!!! Thank you ever so much. This morning…in 10 degree temps, I went to open the side door to let my big Old English Sheepdog in so we could drop off my husband, and the doors went all crazy due to being STUCK. I listened to my husband rant all the way to work about how stupid electric doors were…I listened politely…what else could I do??? Called a shop and discovered that everything was full until after the New Year. We have 4 boys and I’m pregnant…with a giant dog….and a full calender. All I could imagine was doing all the New Year stuff with the entire clan having to go in and out through the driver door getting ice, sleet, snow and mud all over the seats. I got on line and saw your post here….and went out with a set of plyers and pulled out the fuse. Went to the freezer to pull out a turkey for New Years, put the fuse back in, and VOILA! The doors WORK again! I am SO excited to tell my husband about how handy I am…SO excited to tell my father (who is an electrician who is very disappointed in my un-handiness because I failed to pay enough attention to his work as a child) and the entire world!!! All in all, I have YOU to thank…you saved us a ton of money and time, and you saved me another lecture about how stupid my car is. YAY! Thank you…..THANK YOU! :o)

  74. Michael, THIS FIX REALLY WORKS; I found the same original original thread that you found and followed all the steps last night on my 2000 Odyssey and now the driver side power sliding door works again. I also pulled the two “power door” fuses as a precaution. I put a copy if the procedure in my owner’s manual. Honda and their dealers have to know about this procedure, it’s a shame they don’t admit it and just perform the procedure and charge a reasonable price . A lot of their customers would gladly pay $75 to get their doors working again and not care to know how the mechanic fixed it.

  75. We’ve dad our dependable 2000 Odyssey since Dec 1999, and 11 years and 3 kids later the power sliding doors suddenly stopped working after a typical Canadian December deep freeze (-17 C) just before Christmas.

Read through the manual and all the fuses related to the power sliding doors checked out ok…so I blamed myself for spraying the door channels and hinges with a ‘rust check’ lubricant spray that’s supposed to help keep things well lubricated so I assumed everything was just frozen….I was ready to spend some Christmas money on fixing the doors and was expecting the worse case of having to replace the motors that operate each door….well after a quick google search and 5 minutes to pull the clock fuse(????) the doors are as good as 11 year old doors work,,, Thanks for the fix :)

  76. Not being a hightechdad, how do you disable the power door switch and I tried to pull out the fuse with no succcess. Do I need to use pliers?? Honda wants 1200 to fix so I will be hitting the donate button if this works.

    Thanks

    Bill

  77. What model year odyssey do you have? Some people have said that it is a different fuse depending on the model. Did you follow all of the directions?

  78. You could but remember that if you have the stock Honda stereo, that you
will have to know the security code to reset that. They put those codes
in the glove compartment I believe (but that depends on the year as well).

  79. Worked great!!! Thanks alot. It is greatly appreciated. Amazing to fix my headaches in 30 seconds. Thanks again!!

  80. This is the great blog, I’m reading them for a while, thanks for the new posts!

  81. I’ve tried the fuses but to no avail. Passenger side door is locked and won’t unlock automatically or manually.

  82. That sounds like a different issue altogether. You might have to take it
    in for servicing.

  83. Thanks. I have also 2003 odyssey and removed 7.5 amp clock fuse. Although it did not work well at first, it works greatly later.

  84. Can’t help with that, sorry. You will have to take it in to get it
    repaired, I believe.

  85. Thanks so much!!! Also works on 1999 models. I also removed fuse #12, which says something about the doors.

  86. I have 2003 honda odyssey, this fix worked great. Thanks a lot. Fuse # is 10 in 2003.

  87. I am a stay-at-home mom trying to save our pennies.  We just bought our 2004 Odyssey and the driver side door wasn’t opening.  Thank you so much!!!!

  88. Glad that it helped and worked for you! (And thanks for the donation as
    well!)

  89. I was reading these posts and couldn’t find the original comment to point me in the right direction…we have a HOnda Odyssey and have had intermittent problems with the doors–nothing else but the doors-but was looking for the link to this. Could you help?

  90. I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey – and the passenger sliding door on the the drivers slide isn’t working from the inside handle. I can open the door via the buttons on my remote control, via the outside door handle and the buttons to the left of the steering wheel, but the inside door handle will not open the door. I am thinking my kid has busted it.

Any tips? Since it seems like the motor is still good and it works except from the inside handle?

Would love your input. Thanks so much

  91. Yes sir!!!  It’s fuse #7 on the 2005 Odyssey.  Thanks a bunch.  Seatbelt got caught in it and it wouldn’t work…now it’s fine!

  92.  I had the same issue after the fuse (#12, 13 on 2003 Odyssey) removal/insert was done. I was scared at first that both the sliding doors wouldn’t open with just one pull. I had to pull the doors manually all the way to back or use the dash board Open/Close buttons (didn’t try remote at that time). After I did that once, then they are back to normal working condition. It will be nice if someone could technically confirm if this was due to boot up time after the circuits were reset.

  93. I just found this side effect of this: read below.
    Ref: http://www.fixya.com/cars/t996766-2004_honda_odyssey_rear_window
    “….Another
method I’ve seen is with ignition off, pull no. 13 fuse on passenger
side fuse box for ten seconds then replace. This “resets” the car’s
computer (and also the clock). Apparently this has worked for some
people. I don’t like to use it because then you must do the “idle
learn” procedure for the car’s computer to be normalized.

    And
that procedure is: Make sure all electrical items are off. Start
engine and rev to 3,000 rpm (in park or neutral) until radiator fan comes on or coolant
warms to 194F (normal range=thermostat open). Then let the engine idle
for at least 5 minutes with no load. If the radiator fan comes on
during this time, the fan on time must be subtracted from the 5 minutes.
This lets the computer learn what a no load idle situation is and it
will remember this when making idle adjustments for electrical loads
    being on…”

  94. Thank you soooo much! This worked for our 2000 Honda Odyssey EX. We already had enough wrong with that 210k miles car.

  95. For me to fix Left Door Auto sliding for Honda Odssey 2005 all scenario remove Fuse #13 and #5  # 7 didn’t work for me last
     # I remove battery cable
     # Slide the door and close
     # put back the battery cable
    Tested  door start to work

  96. I’m a Honda technician. I had a 2001 odyssey with a sliding door issue. The right slider wasn’t working and setting dtc 24(revolutionary sensor) I reset the code, rehomed the system and the motor started working but the door wouldn’t move. I replaced the slider motor assembly and fixed the problem. It’s good information you’re providing but sometimes it may need more that just resetting.

  97. You have to remove the rear panel behind the door in question. There is a wheel on the motor assembly that you can turn manually to release the tension. Left door(clockwise) right door(counterclockwise). Removing the panel isnt very easy, so be careful.

  98. Disconnecting the battery worked but the door won’t stay fixed.  I can reset it everytime by disconnecting the battery but only lasts for a day or so.  Any suggestions?

  99. Hi, I have a 2002 Odyssey, 140,000 miles on it but this did not work for me, but I decided the next day to try something different. I did manage to manually to get it open about half way and decided to use lithium grease on all the joints where the door moves, top, side and bottom. I then cleaned all the contacts with windex and closed it manually. I waited a minute and sure enough I pressed the button on the remote and it opened!!! I was so excited since I have no money to pay for it to get fixed. Thank God at least this worked!

  100. Disconnecting the battery worked but the door won’t stay fixed.  I can reset it everytime by disconnecting the battery but only lasts for a day or so.  Any suggestions?

  101. Wow, thanks so much! The passanger side door of my mommy mobile quit working last night and wouldn’t close all the way. That warning buzz was so annoying. I Googled the problem this afternoon and ta-da! Here is the solution which worked perfectly! We saved a lot of time and money I’m sure.

  102. my 2006 honda odyssey no pawer on life sliding door,  I did what you say. but still doesnt work, do you have another idea???

  103. I have a 2005 Odyssey EXL w 110,000 miles that the passenger side slider door was closing and then pulling in more than flush and holding for about five seconds and then releasing.  When this would occur the indicator light on the dash would indicate that the door was closed but the door warning alarm would sound continuously when the car was in drive or reverse.  It would silence when in park or neutral and you could silence by turning the master switch off. As earlier stated in this thread, I turned the on/off switch by the steering wheel to the off position.  I opened the door all the way open.  I took a round screwdriver and rotated the switch in the back of the door simulating the door closing onto the retaining loop in the door jam.  I pulled the handle as if I were opening the door and the door lock mechanism release.  I found that the rotating action of the lock had some dirt and grime build up.  I sprayed with lubricate and cleaned.  The door seems to be working properly now.  I have found that when the door is working properly it will not pull in more than flush and then release.  Whenever the door pulls in past flush then releases back out it always sound the alarm.  When the door is working properly it will stop at flush and the latch will retain the door.  This was a very frustrating issue and without the help of this forum I would have completely disassembled my van chasing this problem probably with no results.  Thanks for all the people that posted.

  104. My car
is 2005 Honda Odyssey. In a cold and freezing early morning, I
suddenly found that my passenger side door can not work and there was
a slide door light on. Pull off the black wire of battery for 5
minutes, the light went off, but it later go on and the automatic
slide stop after it closed around 3 times open and close trials. Then
I pull off the #7 fuse on the driver’s side (back up) for one minute,
then the slide door light go off, but it just works 2 door closing,
then stop and the light on again. That’s what I did according to
internet search advices. Then I found that it’s the latch issue. When
the door closed under automatic slide mode, there is a final click
sound for door to finalize closing. I did not hear that although the
door seems to be close well. So I bought the wheel bearing
grease(lithium base) and put all of the slide places. Then I did the
#7 fuse pull out, then the light never go back again and the slide
door works just like a new. Before there is a squeak sound when the
passenger’s side door opened. Thanks all of the information you
    guys gave.

  105. My drivers side sliding door suddenly stopped working. My husband checked it out and decided that I needed a new motor. He disabled the door but the alarm continued and there was no way that I was going to drive listening to that sound. So, I decided to google the issue and found your website. My husband followed your steps and I now have a sliding door that works perfectly!!! Thanks so much for posting this information. You saved me a lot of money plus my sanity!!!

  106. THANK YOU!!!! My husband and I have three kids (twin 18 month olds and a 3 year old) and as a mom, I need my sliding doors.  Thanks for the awesome tip.  You saved my day.   Who knew fixing a car could be so easy- thanks to your help!!!

  107. My wife called me today with the same issue today. Found this article and fixed the problem right after work.

    Thanks.

  108. Bought 2004 Odyssey used about 2 weeks ago.  Yesterday the power sliding door on the driver’s side quit working.  Tried the fuses but didn’t work.  I kept reading and found one blogger who said to check the gas cap to make sure its on tight.  5 seconds later it worked like a charm.  Thanks Happy Chappy!!!

  109. OMG. Thank u so much. Now my pass side slider works ? Why would it have stopped in the first place. Will it happen again ? But me so happy. I have spent many $s. On this van. And its nice to not have to spend more. Again. Thank you. Dan

  110. Its funny the door stopped around the time I had a check engine lite come on for. The egr port needing cleaning. I did that myself it took about an hr to do. I was told by dealer I needed a kit and egr. Big $s. Talked with someone else that had same problem. And was an easy fix. New gasket for upper intake and hr of time. Cost was under 20.00. The internet is great. Thanks to everyone. Nothing but love. 4 u all.

  111. I know this thread is old, but tonight my drivers side slider would not unlock…Scrolling through this thread, found this!  Voila!  Works, it would seem when I got gas, I did not tighten/close the cap all the way..Thanks so much

  112. Disconnecting the battery works great, but the problem keeps reoccuring.  Do I have a bad/dirty sensor, or is the control unit hosed?  Seems to happen again each time the passenger and driver try to open door at the same time.

  113. What is the actual name of the rollers on the automatic doors? Got a 2001 EX with a bad roller. I have seen the way to fix the problem. Trying to find the replacement part but nothing comes up when I google it.

  114. I have 2003 Honda Odyssey. The sliding doors are closing by any methods but not opening with remote and switch buttons on the dashboard. Dose any one had same problem, and know how to fix it?

  115. for the O2 odyssey if your cable is broke you need to replace. The back is 6ft 9 , front cable is 5ft 1. You will need to mickey something together because the ferruls on the cable ends are unique to honda. For the hassel and cost , i just cut my cables out, and disconnected the door motor. I use it as a manual door now.

  116. A sliding door operator (or sliding door opener or automatic sliding door operator) is a device that operates a sliding door for pedestrian use. It opens the door automatically, waits, then closes it.??? ?? ?????

  117. My cables snapped tonight on the driver’s side door. I don’t mind using the door manually, but the car isn’t registering that the door is closed. Will this happen after I cut the wires? And how do I disconnect the door motor? Thanks!

  118. It worked for me! Not exactly what you discuss here, but very similar! I guess for some Honda Odyssey 2001s, fuse #13 is both for the clock and the power door, and for some others – as mine – fuse #13 is for clock and fuse #12 is for power door. If yours fits the latter case, pull #12 and #13 together. Only removing and putting back #13 did not work for me! Here is what I did:

    Remove fuse#12 (power door)
    Restore #12
    Remove fuse #13 (clock)
    Restrore #13

Repair shops asked for $200 only for the diagnosis of one door! I guess I saved more than $500 for the repair of both doors

  119. Hi Dane,

Saw your reply and wanted to know if I have to disassemble the rear interior panels in order to disconnect the door motor. I am quite happy to convert my 02 to a manual open.

    Thanks — Jamie

  120. Thanks for all of the great comments. Does anyone know if I need a new roller assembly. the automatic passenger sliding door won’t open/close properly and when we have had to force it a little we can see the cable coming our from under the panel. I am just wondering if the cable has come off of the pulley or if I need a new roller assembly. Thanks!

  121. its the sliding rear passenger door it releases but wont unlock but you can release it by pulling handle outside then the releases and it opens automaticly

  122. i have 2000 LX odyssey that sliding door not working if i slide the manual lock to open it aoutomatic slide back some kind a shorted wire can anybody help me fix the trouble

  123. what happens if u get it all put together and it gets locked up bc the roller was bad how do u get it unstuck?

  124. we just put on a new cable assembly and the roller was bent and caused the cable wire to get tangled

  125. Bill, I have an 05 also. I only get 2 cycles of passenger side after resetting fuse 7 or 13..can’t remember which because I soldered a switch inline to make it easier. Long/short there is a bad limit switch on the latch mechanism. The drivers side intermittently stops working because the circuit that powers rear blower, hatch light , and drivers slide door. The power also is connected to drivers side slide door lock solenoid. This thread is 4 different problems but they are jumbled together.

  126. I have a 2003 Honda Odyssey, and the passenger sliding door opens fine but when it closes it pops back open slightly! Any idea how to fix this?
