Running out of a battery charge is one of the modern-day problems we all dread, especially when traveling, working remotely, or attending long meetings. After facing battery anxiety one too many times, I knew it was time to post another review about a solution that could power multiple devices efficiently and reliably. Enter the UGREEN Nexode Power Banks — a lineup designed to deliver serious charging power with models offering up to 200W of output, all while remaining TSA-approved for air travel. I tested the 100W, 130W, and 200W models extensively to see if they could indeed keep up with the demands of modern tech users. (*Disclosure below.)
The appeal of UGREEN Nexode power banks extends beyond typical portable chargers. The UGREEN Nexode line consists of high-performance charging hubs designed to handle even the most power-hungry devices like laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Their robust wattage output, multiple ports, and advanced charging management system seemed tailor-made for tech professionals, techies on-the-go, and anyone constantly battling low-battery anxiety.
While this review isn’t a super deep dive into these three models, I have produced a couple of video (which you can see below) where I walk through the features of the two higher-end models with the smart displays (the 130W and 200W) as well as the more portable 100W version that has a slightly less-advanced smart display.

Key Features of the UGREEN Nexode Batteries
UGREEN’s Nexode Power Banks are built for users who demand high-powered, versatile charging solutions. Whether you’re working in a remote office, traveling across time zones, or keeping up with a busy school schedule, these portable batteries deliver power where and when needed. Here’s what makes them stand out.
1. High Power Output
The Nexode 100W, with its 12,000mAh capacity, is perfect for day-to-day charging while remaining lightweight and portable. The 130W model offers a larger 20,000mAh capacity with two USB-C ports for greater charging flexibility. And, the 200W model boasts a massive 25,000mAh capacity with three output ports, making it ideal for charging multiple high-demand devices simultaneously.
2. Smart Digital Displays
Each model features a built-in smart display that provides real-time data on battery percentage, charging wattage, and remaining charging time (as well as how much time remains to charge the Nexode if you are charging it up). This transforms the charging experience from guesswork into an efficient, data-driven process. Seeing exactly how much power is flowing to each connected device helped me manage charging sessions with precision. The larger capacity models offer more details in the digital display as you can see in my video reviews.
3. Travel-Ready Design
Despite their high capacities, all three models are TSA-approved for carry-on luggage. Their rugged builds and durable designs make them excellent travel companions. They’re sturdy enough to toss into a backpack yet sleek enough to look great on a desk. The 100W is lighter-weight and more portable than the other models. And remember, when going on a flight, you have to bring these batteries in your carry-on bags. You cannot check them in your luggage.
Setup & First Impressions
Unboxing the UGREEN Nexode Power Banks felt premium and thoughtfully designed. Each model came neatly packaged with a high-powered USB-C charging cable, a soft protective carrying case, and detailed manuals. The presentation balanced eco-conscious design with strong protection — a nice touch from a brand that clearly pays attention to detail.
Setup was quick and intuitive. Plugging in a device instantly activated the smart digital display, showing real-time power metrics such as remaining battery life and charging wattage of the portable battery. Activating trickle-charge mode, designed for low-power devices like earbuds, was easy, requiring just a long press of the power button.
The power banks felt well-built from the start. The 100W model was lightweight and highly portable, ideal for students and commuters. The 130W model offered extra capacity without sacrificing portability, while the 200W model felt solid and ready for intense workloads. Non-slip feet on the bottom kept the power banks steady on any surface.
Everyday Performance & Usability
Performance is where the UGREEN Nexode Power Banks truly shine. I tested them in everyday scenarios, including charging laptops, iPhones, and an iPad. Each model delivered consistent power, even when charging multiple devices simultaneously.
The 200W model was particularly impressive when connected to a wall outlet. Its pass-through charging feature allowed it to function as a charging hub while keeping its internal battery fully charged, a perfect solution for a home office setup. The 130W and 100W models handled portable charging easily, keeping my devices powered throughout long workdays and extended travel.
The smart displays became indispensable during these tests. They clearly indicated which ports were active, how much power was being delivered, and how much battery charge remained in the Nexode. This visibility made power management easy and efficient, something I didn’t realize I needed until I experienced it firsthand.
Use Case Scenarios
I was thinking through some possible use cases for each of these UGREEN Nexode Power Banks. At a very high level, these are some scenarios:
• Business Travelers: The 200W model is ideal for professionals managing multiple devices during business trips or work-from-anywhere setups.
• Students & Commuters: The 100W and 130W models are lighter weight and easy to carry, making them perfect for long school or workdays.
• Outdoor Enthusiasts: Assuming you don’t mind the extra weight or size, these power banks are designed for camping trips and extended road trips where you might have the luxury of being able to pack something slightly larger or heavier. Only the 100W might be ok for a backpacking type of trip.

Final Thoughts
After several weeks of hands-on testing, I can confidently say that UGREEN’s Nexode power banks are some of the best portable chargers I’ve used. Their ability to power multiple devices simultaneously, deliver fast-charging output, and provide real-time data through their smart displays elevates them beyond standard portable chargers.
I recommend the 100W model for students, commuters, and anyone looking for lightweight portability without sacrificing power. The 130W model offers a great balance of capacity and charging speed, making it an excellent travel companion for longer trips. Finally, the 200W model, my favorite, is the ultimate choice for serious power users, capable of running laptops, tablets, and phones all at once.
No matter which model you choose, UGREEN delivers a premium charging experience that’s hard to beat. Their thoughtful designs, advanced power management, and durable builds make them a worthy investment for anyone who relies on their tech to stay connected and productive. And they are great for emergencies and power outages (in fact, we used them recently during a power outage). If you’re tired of dealing with dead batteries and crowded charging stations, these power banks might be exactly what you need.

Summary
Don’t settle for cheap knock-off brands of power banks and portable batteries. The UGREEN Nexode line of power banks delivers power performance on-the-go, when you need it! All three of these UGREEN Nexode power bank portable batteries are airplane-approved for carry-on luggage. These are very easy-to-use, high-capacity batteries with at least one high-output USB-C port (either 100W or 140W, depending on the model). This makes them ideal for people who need a portable battery solution for charging their laptops, which typically consume more wattage. You can use lower output batteries but the charge time of your laptop will be considerably longer. These also allow for smart power distribution, which helps you optimize your changing if you have multiple devices plugged in. The price point is reasonable, especially compared to well-known competitors.

- High wattage output ports (100, 100, 140 on the 100W, 130W, and 200W version respectively)
- Quick charging
- Travel on bag flight approved
Cons

- All models are a bit bulky and heavy
- No dual-port charging on the 200W
- No color smart display on the 100W
