Key Features
Flexible Multi-Screen Setup
The Cevaton S6 extends your laptop into a triple-screen workstation, using your existing laptop screen as the third display. Its unique design supports both horizontal and vertical orientations, making it adaptable to different workflow needs. If you need to share a screen with someone across from you, the independent display mode allows for easy detachment and repositioning using the included connector with a kickstand.

15.6-inch Full HD IPS Displays
Each monitor in the Cevaton S6 setup features a 1920×1080 resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate, ensuring clear visuals and smooth performance. The IPS technology enhances color accuracy and wide viewing angles, making it suitable for professionals who require high-quality displays. Additionally, the 300-nit brightness ensures decent visibility, though it may not be ideal for outdoor use or brightly lit environments.
Broad Compatibility & Simple Connectivity
The Cevaton S6 is designed to work seamlessly with Mac, Windows, and potentially Linux, Android, and gaming consoles. It offers a variety of connection options, including USB-C to USB-C, USB-A to USB-C, and HDMI, ensuring compatibility with different laptop models. It also supports DisplayPort over USB-C, allowing for a streamlined, plug-and-play experience with modern laptops.
Setup & First Impressions
The Cevaton S6 comes in a well-protected package, ensuring that all components remain intact during shipping. The inclusion of the carrying case provides a convenient storage solution for those who frequently travel with their devices. The monitors fold together well and the carrying case can hold some of the needed cables.

Inside the package, you’ll find two 15.6-inch monitors, each wrapped securely to prevent scratches or damage. Additionally, the box includes multiple cables, such as USB-C, USB-A, and HDMI, allowing for various connection options. The mounting frame and kickstand ensure a stable setup, while the instruction manual provides detailed guidance on assembling and configuring the device for different setups.
Setting up the Cevaton S6 is a fairly intuitive process, even for those who may not be tech-savvy. The first step involves attaching the screens to the adjustable frame, which securely grips the back of your laptop. Next, you extend the built-in kickstand to provide additional support, preventing the setup from becoming unstable. Connecting the monitors is as simple as using the USB-C or HDMI cables, ensuring seamless communication between the screens and your laptop. I recommend using USB-C connections if you can. The image below shows the various ports (for most setups, ports labeled Type-C1 or Type-C2 are the ones to use).

One crucial aspect to consider during setup is power management. Depending on your laptop’s specifications, you may find that it lacks the necessary power to sustain two additional screens. In such cases, an external power source for your laptop may be required to ensure proper functionality. This is an important detail to note for users with older laptops or limited power output.
Once fully assembled, the Cevaton S6 feels solid and well-built, though slightly heavier than expected. The dual-monitor system is undeniably sturdy, which is a positive for those prioritizing durability. The installation process is straightforward, but choosing the correct ports for connection is essential to achieving a smooth setup experience. (As you can see in my video, I had incorrectly set up one of the port connections, but once I corrected that, everything worked fine on PC and Mac.)
Overall, the initial impression of the Cevaton S6 is positive, particularly in terms of design, stability, and user-friendly configuration. The build quality feels sturdy yet slightly heavy, which is expected given that you are carrying two flatscreens. The installation process is intuitive, though proper port selection is crucial for successful setup.
Everyday Performance & Usability
Once set up, the Cevaton S6 significantly enhances productivity. Whether you’re managing multiple spreadsheets, monitoring stock trends, coding, or conducting research, the extra screen space allows for seamless multitasking. With two additional monitors, you can keep reference materials open while working on a primary task, reducing the need for constant window switching.
Depending on your needs and the capabilities of your laptop, you can mirror your desktop or extend it. Personally, I love the extended desktop so that I can dedicate a screen for a particular function. Mirrored desktops, coupled with setting up a monitor facing another direction, are ideal for sharing a screen with a friend or colleague sitting across from you.
The adjustable screens offer flexibility, allowing you to quickly switch between horizontal and vertical orientations based on your workflow. The ability to use one or both monitors independently makes it great for presentations or collaborating with others. Additionally, the kickstand ensures stability, even when using only one display at a time.

The display quality is solid, with clear 1080p resolution and IPS technology providing good color accuracy and viewing angles. However, the 300-nit brightness might be insufficient for very bright environments. The built-in speakers are a nice addition, but I did not test them. Overall, the Cevaton S6 offers a well-balanced mix of usability and performance for professionals, gamers, students, and others when they are on the go.

Summary
If you need extra screens on the go, the Cevaton S6 dual laptop screens delivers versatility and convenience in a sleek package. Don’t feel that claustrophobic, single-screen laptop environment again! If you are tired of the single, laptop screen experience, the Cevaton S6 dual screen monitors is an excellent solution for you. If you have a modern PC or Mac, you should be able to fairly easily plug-and-play with these flat screen monitors using a simple USB-C connection. If you have limited ports or only one USB-C and an HDMI port, there are other ways to use this setup, but it does require testing it out. Also, depending on the power requirements of your laptop, you may need extra power for these screens or your laptop. HOWEVER, in the testing that I did with a PC with two USB-C ports and a MacBook Pro, once I figured out how to just use the USB-C connections, it was literally plug the monitors in, configure the display settings, and start working. Once you have that initial configuration setup, you shouldn’t have to do it again. What is also great are the numerous screen configurations that you can do – from having them in portrait or landscape, mixed, or even separately. Watch my video review for the details! Also, I recommend watching for the lowest price (currently on Amazon).
Pros
- Multiple configurations for screens (portrait, landscaped, mixed, hybrid)
- Plug & Play once configured
- Can have monitors separate from holder
- Multiple connection options (appropriate cables included)
- HD quality
- Everything included (cables, carrying case, screen connectors)
Cons
- Initial setup may be tricky (depends on your laptop)
- Pricy if you pay full price (shop around)
- A bit heavy (but ok with included carrying case)
