Can’t Find TP? Use a Smart Bidet & Wash Your Butt Instead! – Stay At Home Tech Tip Video

Avoid having to hoard toilet paper by installing a smart bidet in your home. This DIY project is easy & you save the environment by conserving toilet paper.

One of the odd side effects of sheltering at home during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic is that toilet paper seemed to become as scarce and valuable as gold. People continue to hoard it, buy it in bulk, and make special trips to the market or big box stores to secure some. Everything will come back to normal in a few weeks, once the supply chain figures itself out. However, you may want to consider getting a smart bidet and simply washing your butt instead!

While the shelter at home during the pandemic process is not to be taken lightly, this next video as part of my Work and Study at Home video series has some potty talk in it, specifically around how you can actually conserve toilet paper during a time when it is scarce. And trust me, I have two of these smart bidets installed at our house and we are not only saving on having to hunt down rolls of toilet paper, we are also saving the environment in the process.

I have reviewed two smart bidets and to be personally honest, it’s hard “doing your business” in a normal toilet anymore. Specifically:

Installing either of these two smart bidets is actually fairly easy. You don’t really need much (if any) plumbing experience. You may need to dash to the hardware store to get connectors or something similar. But each of these two bidets comes with all of the required items to just swap out your old toilet seat. Oh, and they both heat up the seat and the water as well!

So while I’m not teaching about how to make a mask or have the best Zoom call possible, I am recommending ways to save the environment through conserving toilet paper. And these are projects you can do it just an hour or so.

Stay safe! Stay healthy! Continue to social distance or at a minimum, wear a mask when you are around people you haven’t been around in a while.

HTD says: Installing a smart bidet to wash your butt and other private areas is a great way to NOT have to stock up on toilet paper. It’s an easy DIY project and once you have it set up, your bottom sides will be happier!
